I really hope that this show gets signed for a new season. The fact that the story is apart from the other is a huge factor for me liking it since I really can’t compare it to The Walking Dead.
As we get into the second half of the season, we see that the Military has taken over and they try to maintain some order with the citizens in Maddie and Travis’ neighbourhood. However, their motives are questioned after they remove everyone who is sick or a potential treat to the community.
Daniel’s wife is taken to a military make-shift hospital, while Maddie’s son Nick is also taken away to their detention facility. Travis’ ex-wife Liza chooses to leave her son with his father and Maddie and go to assist in the hospital.
We finally get to see what the military is up to, and these changes are the last straw for our main characters. They slowly come to terms with what they feel must be done in order to rescue their family members and be free of this prison/haven the military has set up for them.
By the end of the season, we see completely transformed characters. Once they were scared and in denial of what was happening around them. Now they have come to the realisation that things are different.
I really enjoyed this show, and like I said at the beginning, I do hope that the show is renewed for another season. I’m not sure how long the show will make sense as The Walking Dead continues, but I think it will be good for a couple seasons, at least.
